This Privacy Policy explains what information Parrot Voice Notes ("the App") collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to this policy.
1. Summary
- The App works offline by default. Your recordings and notes stay on your device unless you sign in to enable cloud backup.
- To transcribe audio and generate AI notes, your audio and text are sent to third-party processing services (Section 4).
- If you sign in with Google, your notes and audio are backed up to our cloud so you can restore them and use other devices.
- We use analytics and crash reporting to improve the App.
- You can delete your account and all cloud data at any time (Section 9).

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or SMS, and we do not sell your personal data.

5. Where your data is stored
- On your device: recordings, transcripts, and notes (in the App's private storage).
- In the cloud (only if you sign in): note metadata and transcripts in Google Firestore; audio files in Cloudflare R2; account details in Firebase Authentication.
Data may be processed on servers located outside your country, under our providers' safeguards for international transfers.
6. How we use your information
- To provide the App's features (recording, transcription, AI notes, translation, sync).
- To back up and restore your notes across devices when you sign in.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the App and diagnose problems.
- To process subscriptions and provide paid features.
7. Permissions

8. Data retention
Local data remains until you delete a note or uninstall the App. Cloud data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your cloud-stored notes, audio, and account record (Section 9). Limited logs/backups may persist for a short period before being overwritten.
9. Deleting your account and data
- In-app: Settings → Account & Sync → Delete account. This permanently deletes your cloud notes, audio files, and account.

- Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR / India DPDP), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data.
10. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access controls, per-user data isolation). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
12. Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new effective date here.
