These Terms govern your use of the Parrot Voice Notes mobile application ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service

Parrot Voice Notes lets you record audio, transcribe it, generate AI notes (summaries, quizzes, flashcards), translate text, take typed notes, and optionally back up and sync your data to the cloud when you sign in.

2. Your account

Some features require signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account & Sync → Delete account.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the audio, text, and notes you create ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the App's features (including sending audio and text to our processing providers for transcription and AI generation). You are responsible for having the right to record and process any audio you capture, and for complying with laws on recording other people.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to break the law; record others without required consent; infringe intellectual property; upload malware; or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to our systems.

5. AI-generated content

Transcriptions, summaries, translations, and other AI outputs may contain errors and are provided "as is." Do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial, or other critical decisions without verification.

6. Subscriptions & payments

The App may offer optional paid subscriptions ("Pro") sold through Google Play. Prices, features, and free-trial terms are shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play account. Except where required by law or Google Play policy, payments are non-refundable. If a free trial is offered, you may be charged when it ends unless you cancel beforehand.

7. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services (e.g. Google Firebase, Deepgram, Cloudflare, Google Play Billing, RevenueCat). Your use of those features is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. Cloud features require internet connectivity and may be unavailable at times.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or a nominal amount if you paid nothing).

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the competent courts of India.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
